29th September, George Town, Grand Cayman - Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) Cayman’s special economic zone, and Strategic Wealth Preservation Cayman (SWP) an offshore facility for storing precious metals, are partnering to promote the Cayman Islands as the ideal jurisdiction and offshore storage option. The strategic partnership is being developed with a focus on CEC’s Cayman Commodities and Derivatives Park. Discussions began when CEC zone clients began inquiring about a vaulting facility on Grand Cayman, and the business development team met with SWP officials to tour the facility.

Cayman Promo Trip Winners Announced at Impact16 in Las Vegas
What happens in Vegas usually stays in Vegas, unless while you’re there you happen to win a trip to the Cayman Islands! Cayman Enterprise City, a special economic zone that is home to more than 180 businesses, teamed up with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) at the recent Internet Marketing Association (IMA) IMPACT conference in Vegas to offer a unique – and free – contest travel opportunity to two lucky conference participants. And because the IMA is one of the world’s leading associations for digital marketers, the contest, of course, involved social media. Entrants were encouraged to grab a Cayman Islands-themed prop at the jointly- sponsored promotional booth, strike a pose against a Seven Mile Beach backdrop and then post or tweet the selfie to their social media page using the hashtag #cayman17entry. The winner was randomly drawn by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.

Enterprise City's Google/ICCI Selfie Contest Winner Announced
Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) has announced that ICCI student Enyer Rivers is the winner of their CEC/Google/ICCI Selfie Photo Contest. Dr. David Marshall, the charismatic President of ICCI, led a student delegation on a seminar trip to San Francisco earlier this month, including a trip to Google where the photo contest took place. The Google campus tour was made possible through a partnership between CEC and the Internet Marketing Association, and a connection with Google’s General Manager of Global Business Joe DeMike, who personally toured the group through the campus, and shared insights on working at Google and some of their new exciting technologies.
With a heart-felt smile, 21-year-old Enyer Rivers, showed his gratitude in a selfie taken at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California and won the contest sponsored by Cayman Enterprise City.

International College of the Cayman Islands Students visit Google HQ
It was a step into the future, an amazing experience, a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was the trip to Google headquarters outside of San Francisco by a group of students from the International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI) recently took.
Organized by ICCI, the Internet Marketing Association (IMA), and Cayman Enterprise City the journey took over 20 students deep into the heart of one of the most important organizations of the 21st century. Eyes were opened, ideas were formed, and opportunities seen by each attendee, said Dr. Dave Marshall, President of ICCI.

Cayman Enterprise City is offering the first-ever coding workshop of its kind for Caymanians interested in learning this computer programming skill, which is much in demand in the technology industry worldwide. Code is a set of instructions that computers can understand, and people – coders, programmers, developers - write the code that powers computers for everyday objects like telephones, microwaves, and cars. The one-day Coding 101 workshop will take place Saturday, February 11 in the Sir Vassel Johnson Hall at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) and is being conducted by Code Fellows, a well-respected American firm that specializes in teaching programming and software development.

Cayman Maritime 2017 to Shine Spotlight on Growing Maritime Hub
The Cayman Islands Shipping Registry, in collaboration with a volunteer steering committee from the private sector, including Cayman Maritime Services Park and law firm Maples, is gearing up for Cayman Maritime 2017. The conference will bring together a wide range of organizations and companies in the shipping and yachting industries at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort on May 1-2, 2017.
